Massage Therapy

All massages are done in a relaxing and professional environment. The massage therapist will focus on relieving your stress and tension by using their hands, fingers, and/or elbows. Massage improves posture and structural deficiencies by reducing muscular tension and trigger points. There two main types of massage techniques: deep tissue/sports massage and Swedish massage. Swedish massage focuses on relaxation. The massage therapist will use long gliding strokes, deep circular motions, and kneading actions to soothe the muscular tension and energize you. Deep Tissue or Sports massage focuses on restoration of normal muscular structure. Trigger points are palpable hyper-sensitive nodules that are a result of abnormal muscular strain, and by using a slight pressure these nodules can be reduced and muscles can heal themselves.

Benefits to you – stress & pain relief, infant growth, prevention of sport related injuries, boosts immunity, relieves headaches/migraines, increases muscle and skin circulation, alleviates breathing issues, and much more.

Can not be performed if any of the following: Burns or open wounds, blood clotting, fractures, cancer, or uncontrolled high blood pressure.

Collagen Mud Facial

This therapy can be used in a facial or on hands and feet. The mud used is a creamy mask rich in proteins and natural lipids designed to hydrate, soften, and soothe dehydrated and aging skin.

Dead Sea salt has been used for centuries to promote health and wellness, treat skin disorders, detoxify the body and prevent illness. Dead Sea salt differs from regular sea salt in that it has a much lower sodium content, balanced by minerals that feed and nourish the skin and body. A Dead Sea salt scrub is one of many ways to receive the therapeutic and beautifying benefits of this mineral-rich substance. This salt is scrubbed manually into the skin, and can be used in a body massage or foot/hand massage.

Lymphatic Massage

The therapist, by use of manual and a hand held lymphatic drainer, massages the lymph system towards the heart to improve circulation of lymph, blood capillaries, veins, interstitial liquids, and cerebrospinal and synovial fluids. This action helps to reroute stagnant fluid in the skin.

“Lymph massage can benefit just about everyone. If you’re feeling tired and low on energy, or if you’ve been sick and feeling like your body is fighting to get back on track, lymph massage would likely serve you well. In addition, athletes, surgical patients, fibromyaliga and chronic fatigue sufferers, as well as those wanting a fresh look may want to consider lymphatic massage.”

Therapeutic method of relieving pain by stimulating predefined pressure points on the feet and hands. Reflexologists work from maps of predefined pressure points that are located on the hands and feet. These pressure points are reputed to connect directly through the nervous system and affect the bodily organs and glands. The reflexologist manipulates the pressure points according to specific techniques of reflexology therapy.

Aromatherapy has been shown to carry many benefits in terms of wellness and stress relief. For example, one study showed that aromatherapy does indeed have an effect on brain waves, and can alter behavior. Because essential oils are distilled or extracted from plants, they carry within them the medicinal properties each plant has to offer.

Lavender – anti-inflammatory, anti-depressant, balancing
Eucalyptus- stimulate, purify, strengthen the nervous system
Rosemary – Vertigo, increase bile flow, repairs muscle tissue, stimulates adrenals
Peppermint – healing & cleansing, headache & nausea relief
Tea Tree- purifying, antiseptic, uplifting
Citrus (grapefruit or orange) – refreshing, cheering, stimulates immune & circulatory system

Not recommended for pregnancy, seizure disorders.

Hot Stone Massage

Benefits to you – Intended to be extremely relaxing, a heated stone massage involves the placement of sanitized, warmed, smooth rocks upon different parts of the body. Typically, the treatment is done in conjunction with traditional massage techniques, such as Swedish massage, and the stones may be used with applied pressure by the massage therapist during the treatment. Often, stones also are placed–and left for a period of time–on certain body parts such as the spine, hands or belly, and replaced once they cool. This provides a deeper massage and stimulates blood flow. Cool stones may also be used to address muscle injury.

Prossage is a therapeutic warming ointment which is used for myofascial release, deep tissue work and trigger-point therapy by the massage therapist. Prossage is an area-specific warming ointment, not an all-over bodywork oil. Prossage along with massage oil is massaged into a targeted area and followed with hot towels and Biofreeze cooling gel.

Prenatal Massage

During a prenatal massage, the massage therapist will apply light pressure using Swedish massage techniques to relax tense muscles. The massage will focus on making the expecting mother relaxed by finding comfortable positions to achieve the most effective and stress-free massage. Benefits to you – Studies indicate that massage therapy performed during pregnancy can reduce anxiety, decrease symptoms of depression, relieve muscle aches and joint pains, and improve labor outcomes and newborn health.
